Infographic

I created my own infographic using Piktochart.
I found this infographic online. This infographic does a good job of communicating complex data because it is organized and structured in a way that is easy to comprehend the information. It is very neat and the information is well organized. Even for someone not familiar with the brain and its symptoms like myself, I still have the ability to understand the information the infographic is relaying. They are not putting too much information all over the page, making it easier for viewers to read everything. They color coordinated the parts of the brain with the information which is helpful in matching things together and less confusing. To improve the visual design, they could change the font colors so they are easier to read. Also the front in the boxes named “brain facts” should be made a little bigger because it causes me to have to squint while viewing it on my computer. The information is well defined to me, other than that I don’t think anything else needs improving. The target audiences are athletes or anyone who may have brain injuries and need to be treated. They are targeting a younger crowd, high school students.

Lower third

I created a lower third using Gimp. It took me a while but I love how it turned out!

Video Portfolio

I found this Video Portfolio and thought it was cool. I do think this kind of portfolio could work for other careers because it shows you visuals of the career and what the career involves. I think it’s a great way to showcase your career in video format. Seeing something visually instead of picturing it in your head is very helpful.

PowToon Animations

Animated Gifs

I found this gif online. This is a gif of Amanda Clarke from Revenge climbing a rope. You can see in her facial expressions that it is difficult but she is pushing hard to climb it. This gif is communicating obstacles that Amanda faces in the show, I guess to really understand the gif you would have to have watched the show. Amanda is a tough woman who is willing to fight any battle and I believe that is what the gif is trying to show.
I created this gif!

Meme

I wasn’t able to locate the creator of this meme. This meme is trying to say that just because girls say they did their makeup from a YouTube tutorial, that doesn’t mean your makeup is going to look good, it can end up like the meme and looking like a clown. Just because you’re following along with someone on YouTube who may be a professional makeup artist, it doesn’t make you one too! I thought this meme was funny.
I created this meme on my own!

College Logo

This logo is for the University of Georgia. I wouldn't say that this brand fits what I know about the institution because it doesn't provide any information. The logo can stand for pretty much anything. Unless you are familiar with college teams and logos you would know what the G stands for but for someone like me who isn't familiar with college logos, I would never know. Someone can mistake it for Georgetown, or Greenbay, and so much more. There isn't anything that provides us with knowledge on what University it stands for. It can be misleading.

Gimp Software

Personally, I had some trouble with the Gimp program. It wasn't easy to know exactly what to do. It took me some extra online research and web tutorials to get me through using the program. All the online programs we had to use to create our assignments were very easy and understandable. In general, I feel like more people are used to using Photoshop rather than Gimp, which is why it was hard to find information on steps on how to use Gimp. I enjoyed learning how to make my lower third through Gimp, it wasn't easy but I did get to learn something new!
